Angers preview: Mid-table Angers

Angers are comfortably clear of the bottom three and the danger zone but the home team, under the management of Alexandre Dujeux, have been dealing with a bit of inertia since establishing themselves in the middle-of-the-table.

The home team most recently shared a 1-1 draw with ten-man Le Havre last weekend, meaning that they have now won just one of their last nine matches in France’s top-flight.

Paris Saint-Germain preview: Busy PSG

Due to their own pushing for recent postponements in Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain are now heading into an extremely busy fixture schedule, something that Luis Enrique, somewhat comically, has now lamented.

The Parisians head into this one on the back of a midweek hammering of relegation-bound Nantes by three goals to nil at Parc des Princes, courtesy of a brace scored by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia with a goal either side of a Desire Doue strike.

Angers team news: Several injuries

Angers have several injury issues for this one and they have some fresh doubts, too, as defensive duo Ousmane Camara and Marius Louar are both potentially unavailable.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Koffi; Bamba, Sinate, Lefort; Raolisoa, Capelle, Van den Boomen, Belkelba, Ekomie; Peter, Sbai

Unavailable: Courcoul (Injured), Arcus (Injured), Belkhdim (Injured), Djibirin (Injured)

Questionable: Camara (Injured), Louer (Injured)

Paris Saint-Germain team news: Probable rotation

PSG are likely to rotate this weekend once again, with focus being on the coming week. Vitinha is a doubt anyway so will be unlikely to play, while Nuno Mendes is also dealing with a thigh injury.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Chevalier; Zaire-Emery, Zabarnyi, Beraldo, Hernandez; Neves, Mayulu, Fabian Ruiz; Barcola, Ramos, Mbaye

Unavailable: Ndjantou (Injured)

Questionable: Mendes (Injured), Vitinha (Injured)

Angers vs Paris Saint-Germain prediction

Angers are very much ‘on the beach’ for a second season running, having, for a second season running, surpassed expectations to be quite comfortable as they head towards the end of the campaign. PSG may well rotate again this weekend ahead of their UEFA Champions League semi-final tie with Bayern Munich and so the visitors should win but it may not be free-scoring.

Angers vs Paris Saint-Germain tip: Paris Saint-Germain to win -1 handicap
