Alaves preview: Likely strugglers
Deportivo Alaves come into this one on the back of an impressive 3-1 defeat of a previously unbeaten Elche side a couple of weeks ago, courtesy of a late flurry of goals from Carlos Vicente, Toni Martinez and Lucas Boye.
Alaves have managed three victories with two draws and three defeats this season, which is a bit of an overperformance based on pre-season expectations of a struggle under the management of former Celta Vigo boss Eduardo Coudet.
Valencia preview: Faltering Valencians
Valencia majorly improved following the appointment of former West Bromwich Albion boss Carlos Corberan on Christmas Eve in 2024 but Los Che have underperformed this season with just two victories in their opening eight matches.
The Valencians went into the October international break on the back of a 2-1 loss to Girona at Montilivi in Catalonia, despite the fact that Girona went down to nine men before the end of the game.
Alaves team news: Toni Martinez a doubt
The aforementioned Toni Martinez is now an injury doubt for Alaves for this weekend. However, defender Facundo Garces is now still missing through suspension for the hosts.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Antonio Sivera; Jonny, Tenaglia, Jon Pacheco, Youssef Enriquez; Antonio Blanco, Pablo Ibanez; Carlos Vicente, Lucas Boye, Abde; Carles Alena
Unavailable: Garces (Suspended)
Questionable: Diarra (Injured), Calebe (Injured), Toni Martinez (Injured), Mariano (Injured)
Valencia team news: Couple of injuries
Mouctar Diakhaby suffered a hamstring injury in that loss to Girona and he is now sidelined alongside Leeds United loanee Largie Ramazani this weekend.
Predicted XI (4-4-2): Julen Agirrezabala; Correia, Carlos Tarrega, Copete, Jose Luis Gaya; Luis Rioja, Pepelu, Santamaria, Diego Lopez; Danjuma, Beltran
Unavailable: Diakhaby (Injured), Ramazani (Injured)

Alaves vs Valencia prediction
Alaves have proven themselves to be better at staying in games this season with a bit of depth, especially in the positions in behind the striker, allowing them to nick games late on. Valencia have tried to play an intense style with Carlos Corberan at the helm but things are going a bit awry but a couple of weeks could have acted as a reset for the visitors and so Valencia pinching a much-needed win here would appear a good bet for this one.
Alaves vs Valencia tip: Double chance – Valencia to win or draw
