Alaves vs Barcelona prediction

Alaves picked up another point over the weekend, drawing 1-1 with fellow La Liga scrappers Elche, but it is ultimately not enough right now given that they sit in the relegation places.

Given the tightly-packed nature of La Liga's bottom half, Alaves know that a win could be monumental, and they have to hope that opponents Barcelona take their eye off the ball after they wrapped up the league title on Sunday.

The visitors could not have done in more perfect fashion either, given that they secured their second straight La Liga title in El Clasico against their great rivals. Their only remaining goal now is to reach 100 points, which they would achieve by winning their three remaining fixtures.

Hansi Flick will surely rest some of his regulars here, which could potentially open the door for the hosts, who are desperate for points. The pressure is off for Barca though, who could play with a freedom that lends itself to goals at both ends.
