Al Shabab vs Al Ahli prediction

Al Shabab come into this one on the back of a 3-1 defeat to Al Fateh in their most recent outing about ten days ago, continuing a sloppy run of form. The home team are now winless in their last three matches with just three victories in their last eight matches across all competitions, despite sitting tucked inside the top six of the Saudi Pro League.

They now face an Al Ahli side that, under the management of former Red Bull Salzburg boss Matthias Jaissle, were crowned Asian champions as they defeated Kawasaki Frontale in the AFC Champions League final last weekend. They most recently eased past Al Taawon by goals to nil in midweek, too, to make it seven successive victories for the visitors.

Being crowned continental champions may well demotivate some sides but that didn’t seem the case in midweek and Al Ahli would have to be viewed as favourites for this weekend, too.

Al Shabab vs Al Ahli tip: Al Ahli to win
