Al Ahli vs Buriram United prediction

Coached by former Red Bull Salzburg boss Matthias Jaissle, Al Ahli have finally found some form of late as they try and push themselves into the top three of the Saudi Pro League. They come into this AFC Champions League quarter-final on the back of an entertaining 3-2 defeat of a struggling Al Wehda side thanks goals from Riyad Mahrez, Galeno and Roger Ibanez.

Thai outfit Buriram United sit at the top-of-the-table in the Thai Premier League but the gap has been closed to just one point after they suffered a 3-2 defeat to fourth place Ratchaburi in their most recent outing last weekend. They came through an AFC Champions League Round of 16 tie against Johor Darul Ta’zim by a goal to nil on aggregate last month.

Buriram United are the dominant side in Thailand but they do have things to concern themselves with domestically whilst Al Ahli can fully focus on this and have to be favourites.

Al Ahli vs Buriram United tip: Al Ahli to win
