Yibing Wu vs Alexander Bublik prediction
Yibing Wu continued his incredible run at his home event as he came back from the brink to knock second seed Daniil Medvedev out of the tournament. The Russian served for the match at 5-3 up in the second set and was in control of the tiebreak, but Wu did not accept defeat and controlled the decider to win 5-7 7-6 6-4.
Alexander Bublik will be his opponent in the last four. The Kazakhstani was in dominant form as he demolished Dalibor Svrcina in straight sets to advance. Bublik won all 22 of his first serve points and fired 23 winners as he wrapped up a 6-1 6-1 win after just 53 minutes. He is now the highest seed left in the competition after Daniil Medvedev’s defeat and is one win away from a fourth final of a brilliant season.
Wu has enjoyed an incredible run, and his offensive game could threaten Bublik at times, but the world number 19 has still not been broken at this event so far and is likely to get through.
