The Worcestershire Rapids head into this one on the back of a 59-run hammering at the hands of the Warwickshire Bears at Edgbaston last week. After conceding 224 in the first innings, the Rapids could only manage 165-7 in response.
Defending champions Somerset struggled in the first block of the T20 Blast with just two victories and four defeats in their six matches. They did earn themselves a crucial 18-run victory against arch-rivals Gloucestershire at Taunton on Friday night.
Worcester have been a touch better than Somerset in the white-ball stuff thus far but there is a gulf on paper and should now be on the pitch as the visitors seek to propel themselves back up the Central Group standings.
