Western United vs Auckland prediction

Western United have the second best attacking record in the A League with 51 strikes in their 25 matches so far this season as they seek to finish the campaign with a bit of a flourish. They come into this one on the back of a slender but impressive 1-0 defeat of mid-table Sydney in their most recent outing in New South Wales last weekend.

Auckland, owned by Bill Foley as part of the AFC Bournemouth and Lorient multi-club ownership model, have enjoyed a magnificent first ever season as an A League club with just two defeats in their 25 matches this season. The New Zealanders edged past rock-bottom Perth Glory by a goal to nil last weekend.

This one is a clash of styles and, as has so often been the case throughout this campaign, siding with the controlled and mature Aucklanders would appear the way to go for this one.

Western United vs Auckland tip: Double chance – Auckland to win or draw
