The prediction
The Western Bulldogs come into this one on the back of a 35-point defeat to the Sydney Swans in their most recent outing, last week. They had won four of their previous five matches before taking on the high-flying Swans.
They now face a West Coast Eagles side that have won four and lost 12 of their 16 matches as they sit down towards the bottom end of the AFL ladder. The Eagles were beaten by the Adelaide Crows in their most recent outing last week.
That was the Eagles’ fourth successive loss and now the Western Bulldogs have to be viewed as the firm favourites at Marvel Stadium in Docklands.
