The prediction

The Western Bulldogs come into this one on the back of a surprise and frustrating 12-point defeat to Carlton at the Marvel Stadium in Docklands last week. That means that they have won five and lost five of their ten matches thus far.

They now face a Melbourne side that are level on 28 points alongside Gold Coast and Geelong, eight points behind co-leaders Sydney and Fremantle. The Victorians most recently earned a comfortable 39-point win against Hawthorn last week.

The Bulldogs had won four from four to kick off their campaign but it is now one win and five defeats in their last six and so siding with Melbourne is the way to go for this one.
