The prediction

Western Bulldogs delivered some promising performances in pre-season and they built on that with an impressive win over Brisbane Lions during Opening Round.

The Bulldogs started somewhat sluggishly at the Gabba, but raised their game in the final quarter to register a five-point victory, with Ed Richards in particular a standout performer.

Also coming off the back of an Opening Round success, the GWS Giants overcame their injury problems to record a hard-fought win at the expense of Hawthorn.

Despite plenty of inexperience among their starters, the Giants put on an encouraging display, but backing that up in their first away match will represent a serious challenge.

The Bulldogs look to be riding a wave a this early stage of the campaign, and we fancy them to take the spoils here.
