West Ham Preview: Underwhelming Irons

Ever since the appointment of former Brighton and Hove Albion and Chelsea boss Graham Potter in mid-January, who replaced former Spain boss Julen Lopetegui, West Ham United have arguably regressed with underwhelming performances as they seek to gel under Potter.

The Irons looked as though they may earn themselves a rare and much-needed victory last weekend as they were 2-1 up late on at the AMEX Stadium against the aforementioned Brighton but the Seagulls turned the game on its head to condemn West Ham to yet another loss.

Tottenham Preview: Focus on Europe

Ange Postecoglou is expected to depart regardless of what happens in the UEFA Europa League but it could well be that Tottenham Hotspur end his second season with a trophy, as is always the case according to Postecoglou himself.

Spurs come into this one on the back of a 3-1 defeat of Norwegian champions Bodo/Glimt in the first-leg of their UEFA Europa League semi-final ahead of the crucial second-leg on a plastic pitch in the Arctic Circle next week.

West Ham Team News: Ferguson returns

Graham Potter has confirmed that former Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville will be unavailable for the Hammers for the rest of this season and that is expected to be the same case for Michail Antonio. Evan Ferguson is eligible to play once again after being unable to face parent club Brighton last weekend.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Areola; Todibo, Mavropanos, Kilman; Wan-Bissaka, Paqueta, Ward-Prowse, Soucek, Emerson; Kudus, Bowen

Unavailable: Summerville (Injured), Antonio (Injured)

Questionable: Alvarez (Injured)

Tottenham Team News: Probable rotation

In his post-match press conference after the defeat of Bodo/Glimt the other day, Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Sweden international midfielder Lucas Bergvall has picked up an injury that could see him miss the rest of this season. Both James Maddison and Dominic Solanke had to come off against Bodo with slight niggles in midweek.

Predicted XI (4-3-3): Vicario; Spence, Danso, Davies, Udogie; Bissouma, Gray, Sarr; Johnson, Richarlison, Tel

Unavailable: Dragusin (Injured), Bergvall (Injured), Son (Fitness)

Questionable: Maddison (Injured), Solanke (Injured)

West Ham vs Tottenham Prediction

Neither of these sides are content at the moment as West Ham try and get to the end of the season as quickly as possible, whilst Tottenham have been chaotic throughout the Postecoglou reign and are now just entirely focused on the UEFA Europa League, having managed just one victory in their last eight matches in the Premier League. These are two haphazard sides lacking any rhythm or cohesion at either end of the pitch so a chaotic affair may be in store at the London Stadium.

West Ham vs Tottenham Tip: Both teams to score
