It has been a tough campaign for the West Coast as they now take on rock-bottom Essendon at the Optus Stadium in Perth in Western Australia on Sunday.

The prediction

The West Coast Eagles come into this one on the back of a slender ten-point defeat to Collingwood in their most recent outing, last week. They have managed just three victories and eight defeats in their 11 matches thus far.

Essendon, though, are rock-bottom with just one victory and have endured a much tougher campaign. The visitors were beaten by a struggling Richmond side last week – the first time they conceded fewer than 100 points since early April.

Essendon are a poor side that are playing poorly and, with home advantage, the Eagles should get themselves a rare victory this weekend in Round 12.
