The prediction
The West Coast Eagles have won just four matches with 13 defeats in their 17 games so far. They come into this one on the back of a 16-point defeat to the Western Bulldogs, extending their current losing streak to five matches.
The Brisbane Lions have been inconsistent for much of this season but they are finishing the regular season well and cementing themselves in the top four with the Queenslanders continuing that with a 90-point demolition of rock-bottom Essendon last week.
That was Brisbane’s fifth successive win since losing to ladder leaders Fremantle in May and they should make it six victories in a row at the Optus Stadium in Perth.
