West Brom vs Watford prediction

West Bromwich Albion, with Tony Mowbray at the helm having replaced Carlos Corberan earlier this year, have slipped away from the top six. The Baggies come into this one on the back of a third successive loss, though, as they suffered a 2-1 defeat away to playoff contending rivals Bristol City in midweek due to a 96th minute winner scored by Haydon Roberts for the Robins.

Watford, on the other hand, begin this weekend’s round of fixtures now sitting a point and a place behind West Brom in the table due to a hard-fought 1-0 defeat of struggling Hull City at Vicarage Road in midweek, courtesy of a 55th minute winner scored by Moussa Sissoko. The Hornets have been inconsistent throughout, as well as generally quite limited in their quality.

Neither of these sides will be convincing at the weekend and the fact is that a draw probably ends both of their playoff dreams. A low-scoring, low quality, low energy game may be in store.

West Brom vs Watford tip: Under 3.5 goals
