Washington Freedom vs Seattle Orcas prediction

Washington Freedom, who finished as runners-up to MI New York last season, started their campaign by setting a target of 217 for the Orcas, succumbing to a five-wicket loss with Seattle chasing that in just 17.3 overs before they then posted 245-5 to defeat reigning champions MI New York with Mitch Owen hitting a 68-ball 155.

The Seattle Orcas have been consistently high-scoring themselves, too, with that defeat of the Freedom, in which they chased 218 in emphatic style, coming on the back of scoring 220-2 in their opener against the Texas Super Kings, only to lose that in 18.3 overs. The Orcas were then skittled for just 115 by the Los Angeles Knight Riders in their most recent outing.

A high-scoring contest seems a decent bet for this one with in-form Owen and Orcas’ Tim Seifert likely to make the most of likely friendly conditions in Oakland.

Washington Freedom vs Seattle Orcas tip: Mitch Owen to be top home batter & Tim Seifert to be top away batter
