Villarreal vs Copenhagen prediction

Across the five rounds of league phase fixtures played so far, Villarreal and Copenhagen have combined for just one win, that being Copenhagen’s thrilling 3-2 triumph over Kairat last time out. Whilst an awful final ten minutes threatened to undo all of the Danish side’s good work to accrue a 3-0 lead, they hung on to give their European campaign a massive boost.

It’s been a nightmare competition so far for Villarreal and their latest setback came in the form of a comprehensive 4-0 defeat away at Borussia Dortmund, a match which saw defender Juan Foyth sent off for deliberate handball. The La Liga outfit have picked up just one point from a possible 15, scoring just two goals and conceding ten.

Neither of these teams have really impressed from a defensive perspective, which opens up the possibility of this being a fairly open encounter that involves both deploying largely attacking playstyles with victory desperately needed. Back both teams to score, regardless of who comes out on top.

Villarreal vs Copenhagen Tip: Both teams to score
