Valencia preview: Solid and improved

Carlos Corberan has been under pressure throughout this campaign, in charge of an underperforming Valencia side. However, they did manage to earn themselves three victories in four matches before the March international break.

The Valencians defeated fellow fallen giants Sevilla by two goals to nil in Andalusia a couple of weeks ago, courtesy of first-half goals from Hugo Duro and Largie Ramazani at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Celta Vigo preview: Entertaining but frustrated

Celta Vigo, with Claudio Giraldez at the helm, begin this weekend's round of fixtures sitting tucked in the top six in La Liga and in the hunt for a top five finish and potential UEFA Champions League qualification.

However, the Galicians, who are in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League later this month, did head into the international break on the back of collecting just a point from their last three matches in the league.

Valencia team news: Defensive issues

Centre-back Thierry Correia is now a doubt for the Valencians with Los Che dealing with the injury absences of goalkeeper Julen Agirrezabala, as well as other defenders such as Jose Manuel Copete, Mouctar Diakhaby and Dimitri Foulquier.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Dimitrievski; Unai Nunez, Carlos Tarrega, Cumart, Jose Luis Gaya; Rodriguez, Javi Guerra; Luis Rioja, Almeida, Ramazani; Hugo Duro

Unavailable: Julen Agirrezabala (Injured), Copete (Injured), Diakhaby (Injured), Ruben Iranzo (Injured), Foulquier (Injured)

Questionable: Correia (Injured), Ugrinic (Injured)

Celta Vigo team news: Experienced absentees

Yet to sign a new deal, club legend Iago Aspas may have played his last game for Celta after suffering an Achilles injury and he is now sidelined alongside Uruguay international defensive midfielder Matias Vecino.

Predicted XI (3-4-3): Radu; Javi Rodriguez, Aidoo, Carlos Dominguez; Alvaro Nunez, Hugo Sotelo, Hugo Alvarez, Oscar Mingueza; El Abdellaoui, Borja Iglesias, Ferran Jutgla

Unavailable: Matias Vecino (Injured), Miguel Roman (Injured), Iago Aspas (Injured)

Questionable:

Valencia vs Celta Vigo prediction

Celta could do with rediscovering their touch ahead of the run-in, having struggled to deal with the intensity of a top five challenge and their run in Europe. Valencia are getting better results but still have room for improvement. With home advantage, though, they will have confidence and both teams scoring would appear a decent bet for this one on Sunday afternoon.

Valencia vs Celta Vigo tip: Both teams to score
