Egypt needed a late penalty to rescue a point against Kuwait in what was a below-par showing by their standards. With more time on the training ground and the players having gotten more acquainted with each other, expect a better showing this time around against an opponent in United Arab Emirates, who lost 2-1 at the hands of Jordan last time out.
Whilst UAE have shown enough to prove that they shouldn’t be heavily beaten by any team at this tournament, Egypt are likely to boss much of this encounter and create a number of opportunities. It’s hard to see the Pharaohs being shut out from open play for a second game running and it’s worth backing them to outscore UAE and gain a big three points.
