Borussia Dortmund will make it four wins from their last five league matches with victory over Union Berlin, who have drawn their most recent three games in the Bundesliga.

Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – Sky Sports / US – ESPN

How to watch online: UK – Sky Go / US – ESPN+

Union Berlin preview: Draws the word

Union Berlin cannot stop drawing games recently in the league, with each of their last three ending level. They come into this one on the back of consecutive 1-1 results, the most recent of those coming against another Champions League chasing opponent in Stuttgart.

Their recent results sees them comfortably in midweek and still very much in with a chance of making a second-half of the season push into those all-important European places, which would be a huge success for Union.

Borussia Dortmund preview: Finding a way

Borussia Dortmund almost wound up dropping more points and giving up more ground to Bayern Munich with the score of their match at home to St. Pauli being 2-2 as the clock ticked past 90 minutes. But a dramatic penalty scored by Emre Can in the 96th minute rescued Dortmund and saw them come away with the win.

Although they’ve won three of their last four in the league and picked up ten points in the process. Dortmund are a whopping 11 points behind table toppers Bayern Munich and come into this match on the back of losing 2-0 away to Tottenham in the Champions League midweek.

Union Berlin team news: Kohn a miss

Kohn’s suspension sees him ruled out here and his absence will be felt. As will that of Robert Skov, who is injured alongside both Skarke and Rothe.

Predicted XI: (3-4-1-2): Ronnow; Doekhi, Querfeld, Leite; Trimmel, Khedira, Kemlein, Juranovic; Jeong; Burke, Ansah

Unavailable: Kohn (Suspended), Rothe (Injured), Skarke (Injured), Skov (Injured)

Questionable:

Borussia Dortmund team news: Sabitzer only missing piece

Midfielder Marcel Sabitzer misses out with a calf injury but aside from that, Niko Kovac can call upon his entire squad.

Predicted XI: (3-4-3): Kobel; Anton, Can, Schlotterbeck; Ryerson, Bellingham, Nmecha, Svensson; Adeyemi, Silva, Brandt

Unavailable: Sabitzer (Injured)

Questionable:

Union Berlin vs Borussia Dortmund prediction

Two clubs who have made themselves very difficult to beat in recent weeks lock horns in the German capital. Due to Hoffenheim’s hot streak and Stuttgart also playing well, the pressure is on Borussia Dortmund after a rough Champions League outing only a few days ago. Their opponents are unbeaten in their last five Bundesliga fixtures.

Neither will give up their respective unbeaten streaks easily and a close contest is likely. Whilst both boast significant attacking weapons, three of Union’s last four games have seen under 3.5 goals scored. It’s worth backing the same outcome this time around.

Union Berlin vs Borussia Dortmund tip: Under 3.5 goals
