Muslim Salikhov: “The King of Kung Fu” looking to wow the crowd once more

At 41 years old, Muslim Salikhov (22-5) remains one of the most creative strikers in the UFC. A five-time world champion in Sanshou, he’s known for his spectacular spinning attacks, lightning-fast counters, and pinpoint accuracy. Despite his age, Salikhov continues to show that his technique and timing can neutralise younger, more athletic opponents.

Training out of Pound 4 Pound Muay Thai, he’s riding a three-fight win streak capped by two brutal first-round finishes — including a signature spinning-wheel-kick knockout. His defensive awareness and ability to control range make him incredibly tough to hit clean, and when he finds his rhythm, he delivers some of the most dangerous kicks in the division.

However, his aggressive style often leaves him open in exchanges. Medić has been hurt and finished multiple times inside the UFC, showing a tendency to trade recklessly rather than set up his attacks. While his explosiveness is undeniable, his chin and defensive discipline remain major question marks — especially against a counter-striker as sharp as Salikhov.
