Cameron Rowston: The CKB standout looks to push his UFC record to 3-0

Now 2-0 with two finishes over Andre Petroski and Cody Brundage since joining the promotion via his second appearance on the Contender Series, Cam Rowston (14-3) looks to be an excellent addition to the stacked middleweight division. A towering finisher who has only ever won a single fight by decision, “The Battle Giraffe” is riding a six fight win streak that dates back to his initial loss on the Contender Series at the hands of Torrez Finney. The 31 year old CKB representative is a powerful striker with an opportunistic submission game, leveraging his lanky limbs to land spiteful shots on the feet or wrap his opponents up in submissions.

Robert Bryczek: Can the Pole build off the back of an impressive stoppage in his last appearance?

Best known for producing one of the most unintentionally hilarious post fight speeches in recent memory, it’s hard to believe that Robert Bryczek (18-6) has been on the promotion’s roster since joining the UFC on a five fight streak of first round finishes back in 2023. Few had high expectations for the Pole after he dropped his debut to Ihor Poteria, but Bryczek looked excellent in his most recent fight against Brad Tavares, scoring a TKO against the notoriously durable vet. A powerful boxer who has proven extremely hard to finish, Bryczek returns looking to kick off his first win streak under the UFC banner.

Cameron Rowston vs Robert Bryczek prediction

While it’s easy to get carried away with Rowston’s potential based on his current momentum, this is easily his trickiest UFC opponent to date. The quintessential middleweight marauder, Bryczek has excellent boxing and is extremely aggressive, relentlessly stalking his opponents to find openings for fight ending shots.

However, outside of a KO loss in just his fifth professional fight, nobody has ever beaten Rowston in a straight up kickboxing battle. Torrez Finney and Jacob Malkoun both had to lean on their wrestling to best “The Battle Giraffe”, while Bryczek has shot just a single takedown in two UFC fights.

Even if the Pole is able to get Rowston to the mat, engaging in a ground fight could well end up playing straight into the Aussie’s hands. While he’s building a reputation as a rangy KO artist, the majority of Rowston’s finishes have actually come via tap out, meaning that Bryczek could well find himself reversed and caught in a submission if he tries to wrestle his way to victory.

The Pole looked good last time out, but it’s easy to look good against the remains of Brad Tavares these days. Rowston leans on his size, power, and momentum to earn the “W” here, potentially even becoming the third man to finish Bryczek in the process.
