Udinese are again punching above their weight this weekend as they look to continue a strong start by facing an in-form and flying Bologna side at the Bluenergy Stadium.

Udinese preview: Entertaining Friulians

Former Legia Warsaw manager Kosta Runjaic is doing an impressive job at the Bluenergy Stadium in Friuli as Udinese begin the 12th match day of the 2025/26 Serie A campaign sitting tucked inside the top-half of the table.

However, the north east outfit went into the November international break on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Roma at the Stadio Olimpico in the capital city, due to goals from Lorenzo Pellegrini and Zeki Celik.

Bologna preview: Impressive Bologna

Coached by Vincenzo Italiano, Bologna have been very impressive throughout the campaign as they sit outside of the top four and the UEFA Champions League spots with some excellent form once again.

The visitors most recently defeated defending champions Napoli by two goals to nil at the Renato Dall’Ara a couple of weeks ago, to extend their unbeaten run of form to ten matches across all competitions.

Udinese team news: A few doubts

Ahead of the visit of Bologna for this one, Udinese are dealing with a few doubts as defensive duo Saba Goglichidze and Thomas Kristensen are potentially sidelined alongside Lennon Miller.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Okoye; Bertola, Kabasele, Solet; Zanoli, Ekkelenkamp, Karlstrom, Atta, Kamara; Zaniolo, Buksa

Unavailable:

Questionable: Goglichidze (Injured), Kristensen (Injured), Miller (Injured)

Bologna team news: Several absentees

Bologna head to Udine with several absentees for this one, such as Remo Freuler and Jonathan Rowe, whilst they also deal with a few key injury doubts like Martin Vitik and Ciro Immobile.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Pessina; Zortea, Heggem, Jhon Lucumi, Juan Miranda; Pobega, Ferguson; Orsolini, Odgaard, Bernadeschi; Dallinga

Unavailable: Skorupski (Injured), Holm (Injured), Freuler (Injured), Rowe (Injured), Cambiaghi (Injured)

Questionable: Ravaglia (Injured), Vitik (Injured), Immobile (Injured)

Udinese vs Bologna prediction

Udinese lost lots of key attacking presence over the summer. Lorenzo Lucca departed for Napoli, whilst both Florian Thauvin and Alexis Sanchez have also departed. Despite that, Udinese have still managed to maintain an attacking threat. They now face a Bologna side that head to Udine with a front foot and attacking style and so both teams scoring would appear a good bet for this one on Saturday.

Udinese vs Bologna tip: Both teams to score
