Udinese preview: Steady Friulians

Unusually for a Pozzo-owned club, Udinese have stuck by manager Kosta Runjaic, formerly of Legia Warsaw, over the summer, and they have started the season steadily to go with that steady running of the club in recent months.

The Friulians come into this one on the back of collecting seven points from their opening three matches. They most recently edged past Pisa by a goal to nil at Arena Garibaldi last weekend, courtesy of a 14th minute strike from Iker Bravo.

AC Milan preview: Resurgent Rossoneri

Massimiliano Allegri returned to San Siro over the summer, and AC Milan have started their campaign in reasonably impressive fashion, fighting back from a shock 2-1 defeat at home to newly-promoted Cremonese on the opening day of the campaign.

The Rossoneri then eased past Lecce by two goals to nil and they now come into this one on the back of a 1-0 victory over Bologna last weekend, courtesy of a 61st minute winner scored by Croatia captain Luka Modric.

Udinese team news: A few doubts

Udinese are dealing with a few key first-team doubts for this weekend as left-back Hassane Kamara, formerly of Watford, is potentially sidelined alongside Vakoun Bayo, also formerly of Watford.

Predicted XI (3-5-1-1): Sava; Goglichidze, Kristensen, Solet; Ehizibue, Piotrowski, Karlstrom, Atta, Zemura; Iker Bravo; Davis

Unavailable: Okoye (Disciplinary)

Questionable: Bertola (Injured), Kamara (Injured), Lovric (Injured), Bayo (Injured)

AC Milan team news: Key issues

AC Milan have some key injury issues for this weekend with Mike Maignan potentially sidelined alongside Rafael Leao. Big money summer signing Ardon Jashari is a confirmed absentee due to a leg injury.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Terracciano; Tomori, Gabbia, De Winter; Saelemaekers, Fofana, Modric, Pervis Estupinan; Loftus-Cheek, Rabiot; Santiago Gimenez

Unavailable: Jashari (Injured)

Questionable: Maignan (Injured), Pavlovic (Injured), Leao (Injured)

Udinese vs AC Milan prediction

Kosta Runjaic and his Udinese side started the season very well last year but they were expected to decline this time around after the departures of attacking trio Alexis Sanchez, Florian Thauvin and Lorenzo Lucca. AC Milan will head to the Bluenergy Stadium believing they can easily control the relatively limited Udinese attack, and a low-scoring away win would appear a good bet for this one.

Udinese vs AC Milan tip: AC Milan to win & under 3.5 goals
