Tomas Martin Etcheverry vs Tommy Paul prediction

Tomas Martin Etcheverry came from a set down for the second successive match as he beat Alex Bolt in three sets. He went a break down twice in the first, and despite getting back on level terms, lost the set on a tiebreak. Nevertheless, he dominated the next two to win 6-7 (5) 6-0 6-3. He has now won 10 of his 11 matches on clay in 2026, as he picked up a title in Rio.

Tommy Paul is his next opponent after he began his clay court season with a win over Adolfo Daniel Vallejo. Paul also dropped the first set and despite winning the second, he was close to an early exit as his opponent went 3-1 up in the decider. The American wrestled back control with three breaks, winning 3-6 6-4 6-4 after two hours and 24 minutes.

These two players faced each other for the first time just last week at the Miami Open, with Paul comfortably winning 6-1 6-3. Nevertheless, Etcheverry is likely to be a tougher test on clay, and Paul will need to improve upon his display in the previous round.
