Tomas Machac vs Andrey Rublev prediction

Andrey Rublev surged into the last eight in Barcelona courtesy of a dominant win over Lorenzo Sonego.

The Russian claimed a 6-2 6-3 triumph over the Italian to set up a quarter-final clash with Tomas Machac.

The Czech was handed a walkover after top seed Carlos Alcaraz withdrew through injury. 

This will be their second match on tour with Tomas leading 1-0 thanks to a 6-4 6-4 victory in Miami two years ago. 

Rublev sits 32 places better off in the rankings at 15 in the world but he’s had trouble with consistency and if Machac serves well this could well go to the wire or see the Czech spring the upset.
