Ann Li vs Janice Tjen prediction
Ann Li pulled off the biggest win of her career so far after a comeback victory over former world number one and three-time Wuhan Open champion Aryna Sabalenka in the second-round. Sabalenka comfortably took the lead and looked on course for the next stage after going 4-2 up in the second. However, Li would then win the next four games to draw level, before opening up a 4-1 lead in the decider. Despite failing to serve out the match, Li would clinch the win with her 10th match point, completing a 3-6 6-4 7-6 (4) win.
The 26-year-old now goes up against Janice Tjen. The 24-year-old matched her best result of the campaign after an impressive win over Daria Snigur. Tjen broke Snigur when the latter was serving for the first set and reeled off five games in a row to go up a set and a break. She went on to win 7-5 6-3. Tjen is yet to progress to a quarter-final in 2026.
Li came through a gruelling encounter in the previous round, but she remains the favourite to progress.
