A first half hat-trick from Everton star Richarlison helped Brazil overcome Germany in a 4-2 thriller to open up their group stage campaign. Whilst Ivory Coast were less entertaining, they were just as effective in beating Saudi Arabia 2-1. As both sides lock horns full of confidence and with goals under their belt, we could be set for a cracking contest. To have a player such as Richarlison available for this tournament alongside vastly experienced full-back Dani Alves is a huge factor for Brazil and whilst Ivory Coast won’t prove pushovers, the attacking prowess of the Brazilians should ultimately see them overwhelm their opponents as it did Germany, leading to another three points for Brazil.
