It’s been a very tough season for Tiantsoa Rakotomanga Rajaonah so far, and she has failed to pick up a victory in 2026. The 20-year-old last competed in Bogota, but lost in the first-round after a defeat to Jessica Bouzas Maneiro. She competed at the Australian Open back in January, testing world number one Aryna Sabalenka in the first set of her round one match, but it’s been tough going since then for Rakotomanga Rajaonah.
She takes on Jaqueline Cristian, who is the third seed at this tournament. Cristian began her clay court campaign at the Linz Open last week, but she lost in the first-round to Tamara Korpatsch despite taking the opening set.
