25-year-old Yue Yuan will set a new career-high WTA world ranking of 45th after stunning compatriot Qinwen Zheng in straight sets on Saturday, claiming the biggest ranking win of her career against the world number eight. The Chinese takes a seven-match winning streak into this huge opportunity against Caroline Dolehide after winning her maiden WTA title at the Austin Open two weeks ago but her opponent clearly has an affinity for the conditions in the desert. World number 51 Dolehide finished runner-up to Maria Sakkari at the Guadalajara Masters late last year and after a tough spell since she looks to be enjoying her tennis at Indian Wells, claiming perhaps the win of her career with victory over former number one Victoria Azarenka.
