THE PREDICTION
24-year-old Yu-Hsiou Hsu became only the third Taiwanese man to win a Grand Slam match when he stunned an out-of-sorts Thanasi Kokkinakis in four sets on Tuesday. Tsu will set a new career-high ATP world ranking of around 173rd for his efforts and he stands the slightest of chances at more here against Cam Norrie, who has struggled to find his ruthless streak for most of 2023. The world number 16 conceded just seven games to Alexander Shevchenko on Tuesday to get a strong foothold in at the US Open, snapping a four-match losing streak in the process, but he has not beaten a considerably ‘top’ player since Andrey Rublev at Indian Wells back in March. 28-year-old Norrie should have more than enough to come through this match in straight sets, particularly as Hsu no longer has the element of surprise, but an outright call would be the suitably cautious move for an accumulator.
