World number 38 Ugo Humbert came back from a set down to Constant Lestienne on Tuesday to get his Atlanta Open campaign underway well enough. The 25-year-old reached the semi-finals of the Hall of Fame Open last week before defeat to eventual champion Adrian Mannarino but his best work has come off the tour this season with multiple Challenger titles helping to repair his damaged ranking. World number 204 Lloyd Harris is in a similar boat as a former number 31 trying to work his way back the rankings from a long injury lay-off. The 26-year-old qualified well this weekend before a comeback of his own over James Duckworth on Monday and he only recently proved what he can do on tour with a run to the semi-finals at the Mallorca Championships only just ended in three tight sets by eventual champion Christopher Eubanks. Humbert beat the South African in straight sets three years ago when both players were at their previous peaks but this could come a lot closer with both still seeking their full returns. A tiebreak seems likely between two players who can be hard to break, so consider taking at least one here with at least a set form Humbert to leave the winner up to chance.
