Paul may never have a better chance for a deep run on home soil than this fortnight and he has been awarded a kind opener against world number 233 Stefanos Travaglia, who fought valiantly to come through three three-setters in qualifying against some tough foes. This is a considerable step-up in quality, though, particularly as Paul will enjoy the limelight as a home player with real potential at the US Open.
