World number 109 Tereza Martincova is one of two Czech hopefuls left standing at the Prague Open after back-to-back comeback victories this week and she will receive a partisan backing here on Friday. The 28-year-old has enjoyed most of her best tennis on grass in recent seasons but she impressed the last time she played at home with a great run to the Ostrava Open quarter-finals, upsetting third seed Anett Kontaveit en-route. World number 136 Nao Hibino lost in the last round of qualifying this weekend but the lucky loser has grabbed her second chance with both hands, beating veteran Sara Errani in three sets and ousting Viktoria Hruncakova in straight sets on Wednesday. The Japanese will be dangerous in a rare quarter-final with nothing to lose in this momentum but home advantage heavily favours Martincova. Back the Czech to win outright.
