There is now a clear, huge opportunity for a player like Tsitsipas, Madrid champion Andrey Rublev or defending Rome champion Daniil Medvedev to make the most of a totally decimated draw at the Italian Open in the absence of Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz - and now Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal – but the Greek will have to improve significantly on performances since his third title in Monte-Carlo last month.
