World number 19 Alex de Minaur overcame a spirited Dominik Koepfer in three sets on Friday to reach the Los Cabos Open final, his second ATP tour final in Mexico this year. The 24-year-old beat Tommy Paul to win the Acapulco 500 back in March, his most prestigious yet, and he also beat the American in the quarter-finals this week to extend a very healthy head-to-head record. However, the shoe looks to be on the other foot here as De Minaur faces world number five Stefanos Tsitsipas, who owns a surprisingly one-sided 9-0 record over the Aussie. Tsitsipas, also 24, beat Borna Coric in straight sets on Friday for a confidence-boosting win, with battle between the two coming very close over the last 12 months, but his comeback over Nicolas Jarry in the quarter-finals was his most encouraging this week as he looks to be rediscovering some of his former mental strength on court. De Minaur clearly loves the conditions in this part of the world but Tsitsipas has won each of their last three encounters in straight sets to look too powerful here. Take the Greek to win outright but consider a risk on straight sets.
