The 30-year-old is probably at her weakest on grass but she remains one of the most talented, if erratic, players on the tour who must never be underestimated at this level. Vekic beat Stephens in straight sets here five years ago to lead 2-1 in their head-to-head record and she has taken at least a set in each of their three meetings to offer a suitably cautious option here.
