World number 40 Sebastian Baez took Stefanos Tsitsipas to three sets in the second round of the Madrid Open two weeks ago, backing up a solid comeback over Marcos Giron in the first. The 22-year-old claimed his second ATP title at the Cordoba Open back in February and he has reached at least the quarter-finals at four tournaments on his favoured surface so far this year. World number 97 Juan Pablo Varillas enjoyed his own career-best run to the semi-finals of the Buenos Aires Open back in February but a defeat in straight sets to Baez in Rio the week after was his second to the Argentine in a fairly convincing 2-0 head-to-head. 27-year-old Varillas has been tough to beat on clay this season but Baez should be able to come through in straight sets here. Consider taking him outright inside an accumulator, though.
