THE PREDICTION
17-year-old Sara Bejlek came through qualifying well this week to make her Roland-Garros debut. The Czech up-and-comer has so far drawn some seriously tough opposition in Barbra Krejcikova and Liudmila Samsonova on her major debuts in New York last summer and Melbourne earlier this season, respectively, and it will be interesting to see how she fares here against a fellow youngster. 21-year-old Kamilla Rakhimova will set a new career-high WTA world ranking of around 82nd on Monday after recently reaching the semi-finals of the Bogota Open on clay and she won on her own Grand Slam debut here three years ago. The Russian beat two top teenagers in Polina Kudermetova and Mirra Andreeva at a Challenger event last week to suggest she can navigate a way through here but it would be suitably cautious to back Rakhimova to earn at least a set as the likelier of two capable victors.
