THE PREDICTION
World number 44 Arthur Fils had struggled so far this season but a straight-sets victory over Thiago Seyboth Wild on Wednesday is a solid start to his campaign in Santiago. The 29-year-old won his maiden ATP title at the Lyon Open on clay last spring but he went on to impress on hardcourts too, finishing runner-up to Alexander Bublik at the European Open in Antwerp late last year before just missing out at the Next Gen Finals. World number 101 Pedro Martinez grabbed one of his best results in recent memory with a three-set victory over Argentine Open champion Facundo Diaz Acosta. The 26-year-old has been ranked as high as 40th but some poor form in recent seasons saw him drift back into the relative obscurity of Challenger tennis, making this quarter-finals a huge opportunity. Fils has looked vulnerable enough this year to warrant caution but the Frenchman should find a way through.
TIP: ARTHUR FILS TO WIN
