This could be a thrilling rematch between world number two Aryna Sabalenka and number five Ons Jabeur after the Tunisian came back from a set down to win their semi-final at Wimbledon last month. 28-year-old Jabeur was in insatiable form against the likes of Sabalenka and former champions Elena Rybakina and Petra Kvitova at SW19 before coming undone in the final but she has returned to tour this week in strong form. 25-year-old Sabalenka beat Daria Kasatkina in straight sets on Thursday to improve on a choppy opener over Ann Li and she will back herself as the favourite in this sixth meeting with Jabeur on her favoured hardcourt. The Belarussian leads their head-to-head record 3-2 but 2-0 in hardcourt conditions, most recently in three thrilling sets at the WTA Finals in Fort Worth late last season. Back Sabalenka to win outright here or consider at least a set for the second seed and at least one tiebreak in the match, with three out of five meetings seeing one so far.
