World number 80 Marton Fucsovics lost the match, and his temper, against Sebastian Baez in the first round of the Lyon Open this week to take a two-match losing streak into Roland-Garros. The 31-year-old endured a woeful season last year to heavily deflate his ranking but two wins over Alex de Minaur and better performances overall this year should see him climb back inside the top 50 sooner rather than later. World number 122 Hugo Grenier received a wildcard to make his debut at Roland-Garros and he should not be underestimated here after winning in the first rounds of both Wimbledon and the US Open last season. Fucsovics is a tough man to back with confidence right now but the Hungarian should be coming through this first encounter with Grenier despite any noise he encounters from the home support.
