World number 60 Marketa Vondrousova set a career-high WTA world ranking of 14th after producing a stunning run to the final of Roland-Garros in 2019 before finishing runner-up to Ash Barty. The 23-year-old should be considered a top 20 quality opponent in these conditions as she continues to repair her ranking following a season-ending injury last spring and she handed Alycia Parks a second-set bagel on Monday to look the part.
