18-year-old rising star Linda Noskova could set a new a career-high WTA world ranking of around 48th after coming back from a set to upset Shelby Rogers on Tuesday. The Czech finished runner-up to Aryna Sabalenka at Adelaide 1 back in January, beating Ons Jabeur, Victoria Azarenka and Daria Kasatkina en-route, but there have been some troughs along with the peaks. 31-year-old Magda Linette has enjoyed a similar season of highs and lows after she reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open in January, also losing to Sabalenka there, to come to Rome at a career-high WTA world ranking of 19th.
