World number 208 Lloyd Harris made the main draw at Wimbledon on a protected ranking as he continues to rehabilitate to tour life from a long injury lay-off. The 26-year-old reached the semi-finals of the Mallorca Championships last week before a three-set defeat to eventual champion Christopher Eubanks and there are encouraging signs that he can return to his former glory inside the top 40 one day soon. 29-year-old Gregoire Barrere broke the top 50 on tour for the first time this week after an excellent run of his own to the semi-finals of the Eastbourne International, upsetting in-form Nicolas Jarry en-route. The Frenchman has impressed across surfaces this season but his hard-hitting, robust style should marry up well with the conditions here at SW19 where he targets a first win since 2019. Both players are no stranger to a tiebreak or two, so take at least one in the match here to avoid siding with a winner.
