THE PREDICTION
World number 60 Lesia Tsurenko looked set to be a threat in the early rounds at Wimbledon after impressing on grass over the last 12 months and she has so far come good. The former world number 23 conceded just five games to Bad Homburg champion Katerina Siniakova on Thursday to improve on a choppy opener against Claire Liu and she looks the solid favourite in these conditions against a surprise third rounder in Ana Bogdan. World number 57 Bogdan upset an out-of-sorts 15th seed Liudmila Samsonova in straight sets on Monday to continue her recent form on grass and she came back from a set down to beat big-serving Alycia Parks on Thursday. The Romanian would far prefer this match took place on her favoured clay but wins over Petra Martic and Sorana Cirstea last week in Eastbourne are excellent results on this surface. Tsurenko should have enough to come through here but take her to win at least a set inside an accumulator or outright on its own.
