World number 72 Brandon Nakashima has been desperately struggling to find his previous game after a remarkable 2022 saw him end it a Next Gen champion but there are some encouraging signs of improvement. The 22-year-old will be backed to the hilt as the home hopeful in New York but each of his last five matches have seen deciding sets to suggest this first meeting with Djere, no stranger to a lengthy match himself, could see five sets. Consider that option as a one-off or back Djere to earn at least two sets as the likelier of two very capable victors.
