THE PREDICTION
World number seven Andrey Rublev comes into Roland-Garros with a genuine chance at s very deep run after recently excelling on clay. The 25-year-old finally broke his duck at Masters level to win the Monte-Carlo Open in April, outlasting Holger Rune in the final, and he has reached the quarter-finals here at Roland-Garros in two of his last three appearances. Rublev has reached the quarter-finals at a Grand Slam on seven previous occasions, including each of his last three, but as of yet failed to make the last four. World number 57 Laslo Djere will be sick of the sight of Rublev after losing to the Russian three times last season, including in five sets in the first round of the US Open. The Serb is at his best on clay, as a run to the round of 16 at the Italian Open last week attests to, but whilst five sets gives room for both players to get on the board it would be a surprise to see Rublev struggle here. Back the seventh seed to win outright.
