THE PREDICTION

20-year-old Julia Riera is taking the Rabat Open by storm on her tour debut and she will set a new career-high WTA world ranking inside the top 150 after coming back from a set down to stun Yulia Putintseva. The Argentine also upset Mayar Sherif on Wednesday, who only recently made the quarter-finals at the Madrid Masters, to prove herself more than just a one-hit wonder but this will be a different test against another player enjoying a rise up the rankings. 26-year-old Julia Grabher will set a new career-high WTA world ranking around 66th after Martina Trevisan retired from their quarter-final a set down on Thursday. The Austrian has been steadily improving on clay over the last few tournaments and she only recently took world number nine Daria Kasatkina to three sets in a tight third round clash at the Italian Open after stunning Jil Teichmann. A first meeting between the two leaves more questions than answers here but back Grabher to earn at least a set on form to leave the result up to chance.
