World number two Novak Djokovic made it 29 wins on the spin at Wimbledon with a straight-sets victory over Pedro Cachin either side of a lengthy delay due to a wet court. The 36-year-old saw the funny side of it as he helped ground staff out with towel, with his relaxed persona testament to his chances at levelling Roger Federer’s record eight titles here in two weeks’ time. World number 70 Jordan Thompson faces an impossible task here but the 29-year-old will do so with good grace and commendable grit. Thompson has impressed on grass over the last month, finishing runner-up to Tallon Griekspoor at the Libema Open amongst other achievements, and he dis fabulously well to fight back from two sets down to Brandon Nakashima on Monday.
